Tasmanian Government Schools 2022 Scholarship Program
Eligibility
Scholarships are available for any student who applies to study in a Tasmanian Government School for a minimum period of 2 years.
Value of Each Scholarship:
- 25% of the value of the first year tuition fee.
- Recipients will also receive the opportunity to act as Tasmanian Government Education Ambassadors during their time in Tasmania. Upon Graduation they will receive an additional gift and special certificate for this contribution.
Scholarship Allocation:
The Tasmanian Government will award scholarships to 26 students. Four Scholarships will be allocated to students from each of the following countries:
- China
- Vietnam
- South Korea
- Japan
- Hong Kong
An additional 6 scholarships will be awarded, that are not allocated to any specific country.
Key Dates:
- Students must apply by October 31, 2020.
- Applicants will be informed of the outcome by November 6, 2020.
- Students will need to commence their studies in one of the following intakes:
- February 2021
- April 2021
- July 2021
- October 2021
- February 2022
Scholarship Criteria:
On the application form you will be required to provide a short (150 word) response to each of the following questions:
- Why have you chosen to study in Tasmania?
- Briefly outline three (3) achievements you are proud of (e.g. academic, sport, arts, leadership, community).
- In your home country, what is your favourite subject and why?
- How will you make a contribution to the Tasmanian Government Schools co-curricular activities program and to the general life of the School?
How to Enter:
Anyone interested in high school studies in Tasmania is in the right place with us. We are the official registration office for high schools in Tamania. Our student exchange program in Tasmania is supported by the relevant Ministries of Education in Australia, so we can offer international students a large number of state high schools. All high schools participating in our program are located in or around the cities of Tasmania. Our services are 100% free!
The Scholarship applications will be judged on the following two critera:
75% – The student’s personal response
25% – The quality of the student’s school report from their home country (already submitted as part of the student’s application)
TasTAFE 2022 Scholarship Program
Scholarship Eligibility:
Scholarships are available for students currently living outside of Australia, who apply to study at TasTAFE and commence in February 2021 in the following study areas: Laboratory Technology, Engineering, Information Technology, Hospitality,Tourism and Commercial Cookery
Value of Scholarship:
$1000
Scholarship Allocation:
9 scholarships will be provided to international students

- Students must apply by October 31, 2020.
- Applicants will be informed of the outcome by November 6, 2020.

Destination Australia Scholarship - Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology
The Australian Government and TasTAFE have partnered to offer the Destination Australia scholarships to our international students.
TasTAFE has several $15,000 Destination Australia scholarship for their two-year Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology package. This scholarship is available for students applying from overseas or from within Australia.
Scholarship Eligibility:
The Destination Australia scholarships are available for any international student who applies to study the two year Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Technology package at TasTAFE, commencing in February 2021.
Value of Scholarship:
$15,000
Key Dates:
- These scholarships are available for students commencing in February 2021.
- Applications are open now and will close on December 20, 2020
Scholarship Criteria:
Applications will be asked to provide a personal statement (maximum 500 – 600 words) explaining:
- Why you are applying for your chosen course.
- Your academic achievements so far.
- Your future goals.
- You can also discuss any extracurricular, personal or community activities you are involved in and why, and how these activities contribute to your current and future aspirations.
