Cambrai is a small town (population less than 100) situated approximately 90 kilometres north-east of Adelaide, on the Murray Plains. The main industry of the district is mixed farming.
When approaching the plains from the Adelaide Hills, the visitor views a vast flat tapestry spread across the landscape as far as the eye can see. Cambrai offers a sense of rural isolation, even though located only twenty minutes by car from the River Murray and the Adelaide Hills.
